Potassium Nitrate
Potassium Nitrate
Potassium Nitrate (KNO₃) is a fully water-soluble, chloride-free fertilizer that provides two essential macronutrients in a readily available form: 13% nitrogen (N) (as nitrate) and 46% potassium oxide (K₂O). Supplied as a crystalline powder, it is ideal for fertigation, foliar applications, and as a raw material in high-purity NPK formulations.
Caracteristiques:
- 100% water-soluble – dissolves quickly, leaves no residue
- 13% N (as NO₃⁻) – nitrate nitrogen for immediate uptake and improved cation absorption
- 46 % K₂O – supports fruit quality, sugar formation, turgor pressure, and stress tolerance
- Chloride-free and sodium-free – safe for sensitive crops and long-term soil structure
- Neutral pH (6–7) – ideal for fertigation in all water types
Agronomic benefits:
- Stimulates flowering, fruit set, and sugar translocation
- Improves fruit size, firmness, taste, and shelf life
- Supports plant resilience against drought, disease, and lodging
- Enhances calcium and magnesium uptake due to nitrate synergy
Recommended applications
- Fertigation in vegetables, fruit trees, flowers, and protected crops
- Foliar spray for rapid potassium and nitrogen delivery
- As a key input in water-soluble NPK blends and hydroponic nutrient formulas
Due to local regulations some markets like Brazil or Mexico are using a NKS version of this product, which has some added Sulphur (S).
